Note on Husband: Richard WALDEN - shared note
1. There is a plausible christening of a Richard Walden in Horsell in 1776 to be found in the IGI. Father's name is John Walden; mother not given.
2. There is a record of the burial of a Richard Walden of Wyke, Worplesdon in Ash in 1814. His age is given as 35.
3. Just for completeness, note that several of the children of Richard and Amelia were christened in Ash. In three of these cases the parents were described as 'Richard and Amelia Walden of Worplesdon'. In 1806, for the burial of their son James, they were 'of Normandy'.
Note on Wife: Amelia FROST - shared note
1. In the IGI record of her marriage to Richard Walden in Worplesdon, she is down as Milley Frost. I am assuming that Amelia and Milley are the same person.
2. The problem is that 5 children are recorded as born to Richard + Amelia Walden in Ash. One other, Henry, is recorded as born to Richard + Milley in Worplesdon. Fortunately the date of birth of Henry fits neatly into a gap in the others. Note that, for the christening of Amelia, John and William in Ash, the parents are described as 'Richard and Amelia Walden of Worplesdon' - so it looks as though the family may always have lived in Worplesdon, but chose to have some of their children christened in Ash. We also have to accept that Amelia was known as 'Milley' in Worlpesdon, but as Amelia in Ash.
3. There is a record of the burial of Amelia Walden, wife of Richard, in Ash in 1807, with her age given as 32.
