1. There is an IGI entry for a Mary Walder being married to a James Alfred Blake in East Clandon in 1862. If this is a mis-transcription of Walden then it is very useful.
2. The importance of Mary is that in the 1881 census she and James Blake are living at 35 Clandon Street, East Clandon, which is next door to the 80-year old William Walden who looks like a good candidate for her father.
