1. Ann Luff is interesting in that she provides evidence connecting her father William Luff (snr) to William Luff (jnr) - who is the husband of Sarah Miles. (See the notes on William Luff (jnr) for the full explanation).

 

2. Ann Luff and John Hounsome were married by Licence in Heyshott in 1747. Both are described as 'of Chithurst'. Somewhere in the Lavington archives there is a document which describes John Hounsome as 'of Liss'.
