Henry Symonds (deceased) of Ledbury, Herefordshire. Grocer. SUBJECT The document begins by reciting that Henry Symonds mortgaged property in Ledbury to Hannah Keating in 1841 for £700, of which £200 was repaid in 1843. Then, in 1844, the mortgage was transferred to John Mallow and a further £54/10/-d was repaid in 1860. Henry Symonds died in 1847 intestate leaving Elizabeth Mary Symonds as his only child and heiress. Elizabeth Symonds is now selling the property to George Suter for £500 of which £4445/10/-d goes direct to John Mutlow to repay the mortgage.
