1. The registration information of 1941 shows Samuel living at 28 Clearview Street, St Helier with his wife Fanny Louisa Langford (b.25/03/1884). Living with them is Ronald James d'Avoine (b.27/09/1921).
2. In the 1901 census Samuel is a lodger at Brighton Cottage, St Helier. He is aged 17, a painter, and gives his place of birth as St Saviour, Jersey. (NB. The on-line copy of the census has transcribed him as Samuel Davome, but the printed image shows that the name could well be Davoine.)
