Transcription of Record of Birth of Sarah Baker

Dated the 1st day of March 1837

THIS IS TO CERTIFY AND DECLARE
that Sarah the daughter of Arthur Baker
of Billingshurst in the County of Sussex, Bricklayer
and Elizabeth his wife
(who was the daughter of Moses Chantler of Billingshurst
in the County of Sussex, Farmer)
was born at the house of John Trower (?), Little Dorks (?)
in Billingshurst in the County of Sussex
on the Second day of January 1798

[ NB. The page appears to have been signed by the two parents
i.e. each name is written in different handwriting and both are
different from that in the main body of the form. ]

Received, Filed, and Registered, according to the custom in use
among Protestant Dissenters, at the Registry of Births kept
at Dr. Williams's Library, Red-Cross Streeet, Cripplegate
London this 29th day of March 1837
