SUBJECT We are told that Joseph Fear holds three shares in the Crewe Building Scoiety which entitles him to borrow £187/16/3d. This he is now doing. His security is a piece of land which he acquired in 1869, being part of a field called Near Brick Kiln Field in the township of Monks Coppenhall (now in the Borough of Crewe) on the east side of the Brooklyn Street. A house, number 3 Brooklyn Street, has now been erected on the plot. A memorandum added on the back records that the mortgage had been repaid to the Building Society by June 1899. | |||||||||||
