Selina THOMAS of Coleford, Gloucestershire. Widow. James Aquila THOMAS of Coleford, Gloucestershire. Joiner. Philip Henry HORNER of Coleford, Gloucestershire. Assistant Surgeon. Additional Party to the 1881 Indenure Edwin SAGE of Coleford, Gloucestershire. Painter. SUBJECT This item consists of two Indentures, a Mortgage of 1877, followed by a Transfer of Mortgage of 1881. They are both on separate sheets of parchment but bound together at the bottom edge. In 1877 Selina and James Thomas are mortgaging property in the Parish of Newland, Gloucestershire, to Philip Horner for £100. It consists of a messuage and plot of land on the South East side of Victoria Road, Coleford. We are told that this property was acquired by a James Thomas (since deceased) in 1876. In 1881, Philip Horner transfers the mortgage to Edwin Sage. | ||||||||||||
