PARTIES John SMITH of Spalding, Lincolnshire. Cordwainer Ann SIMPSON of Spalding, Lincolnshire. Widow. SUBJECT This is an agreement in which John Smith undertakes to sell Ann Simpson a messuage and yard in Spalding, the property being next to that where John Smith now lives. A deposit of £1 is paid now with the balance of £109 to be paid on completion if John Smith can make out a good title to the property (or the deposit returned if not). (A memorandum of September 1815 records that the conveyance was duly completed).
