William HULBERT of North Wraxhall, Wiltshire (Yeoman) Audley HARDLEY of Chippenham, Wiltshire (Gentleman) Joseph TAYLOR of Garstard in the Parish of Corsham, Wiltshire. (Yeoman) Thomas GAY of Corsham, Wiltshire. (Mason) SUBJECT The document begins by reciting that Joseph Taylor acquired property in Melksham in 1806 which consisted of a meadow of 5 acres called the New Leaze in the tything of Whitley and Shaw. He also owned two cottages and several small closes of orchard and meadow, all in Whitely, which he had acquired in 1795. Then in October 1814 he mortgaged these properties to William Hulbert and Audley Hartley for £500. The mortgage is now being transferred to Thomas Gay. | |||||||||||
