Thomas WINTER of Everly, Wiltshire. Gentleman. William MIALL the Younger of All Cannings, Wiltshire. Yeoman. SUBJECT The document concerns a cottage and garden in All Cannings, Wiltshire, called The Green or Thorncroft. We are told that in 1757 this property was mortgaged to John Winter of Pewsey, Wiltshire, for £30 by George Perry. John Winter died 'some years since' leaving a Will in which he appointed 'his kinsman' Thomas Winter as Executor. George Perry has since defaulted on the mortgage and Thomas Winter is now selling the property to William Miall for £23. Note that there is mention in the preamble of a Simon Miall who erected the cottage on the plot, but it appears to have changed hands many times since. | ||||||||||||
