SUBJECT Amelia WARD of Salehouse in the County of Norfolk - Widow Samuel BROOKS of Salehouse in the County of Norfolk - Farmer John DAVY of Halvergate in the County of Norfolk - Farmer SUBJECT Amelia Ward is granting a 10 year lease to Samuel Brooks on property in Salehouse at a rent of £142/10/-d per annum. It consists of a farmhouse with 100 acres of land and also a double cottage. It appears that Samuel Brooks is already the occupier f the farm but that the cottage is let to undertenants. John Davy only appears to act as some sort of guarantor for the payment of the rent. The landlady reserves all wood on the land for herself and has imposed a covenant on the tenant specifying many details which amount to 'good husbandry' on the farm.
