Summary of contents
PARTIES
James Crone BEATTIE of Kingsidehill Farm, Parish of Holme Cultram, Cumberland.
Thomas Dixon GRAHAM of Hackthorpe Hall, Westmoreland.

SUBJECT
James Beattie is leaving Kingsidehill Farm at the end of his tenancy and is in dispute with the Landlord, Roland Edmond Walter Percy STANDISH. James Beattie is claiming compensation for improvements to the land and for unexhausted manure left behind. The Landlord counterclaims for damage to the property (£8) and for manure wrongly removed from the holding (£228).

The final document is an adjudication made by Thomas Graham. This comes out as a payment by the incoming tenant, Messrs William Tiffin and Sons, to James Beattie.

Several of the items are written and signed by Joseph Mitchell who is the Landlord's agent.
