Jeremiah MEDLICOTT of Bishops Castle, Shropshire. Surgeon. Francis Collings NORTON of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Esquire. Martha EVANS of Belle Vue, near Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Widow. SUBJECT There is a long preamble to this Indenture consisting of 19 "whereas" clauses relating to property of Jeremiah Medlicott and his father Isiah Medlicott, beginning in 1823. Ultimately, they result in the mortgage of this property to Francis Collings Norton in 1852 for £700. We are told that this mortgage has since been repaid but that the property was never reconveyed to Jeremiah Medlicott. He is now borrowing a further £700 from Martha Evans and the charge on the property is accordingly being transferred to her. Part of the property is in the township of and parish of Wentnor, Shropshire, adjacent to the road from Baschurch to Shrewsbury. This part is shown in a detailed plan. There is a second piece of property in Bishops Castle, Shropshire, which belongs to the Bull Inn. | ||||||||||||
