Robert Henry PEACH of Heckington, Lincolnshire John Roc LOWE of Stamford, Lincolnshire. SUBJECT Robert Peach is mortgaging a Public House called the Royal Oak in Heckington, Lincolnshire, to John Lowe for £250. It is on a plot of 1850 sq.yds bounded on the East by the Town Street and by the Turnpike Road from Boston to Sleaford on the South. Note that the contract was originally made out with James Edward Lowe as the mortgagee, but the name has been crossed out throughout and replace by John Roc Lowe. (Are they related?) The paper letter appears to say that there is already a mortgage for £500 outstanding on this poroperty and is informing the lender of that sum about the second mortgage. | |||||||||||
