Thomas CHAPLIN of Bagg Enderby, Lincolnshire. Esquire. George CHAPLIN of Tathwell, Lincolnshire. Esquire. Philip KITCHEN of Wrangle, Lincolnshire. Grazier. SUBJECT The document relates to Manors and lands of Wrangle and Saltfleetby, Lincolnshire, all of which appear to have been the property of Charles Chaplin of Tathwell who died in 1793. One of his Executors is Thomas Chaplin of Bagg Enderby. Some of the property has been sold to Geroge Chaplin, some to Philip Kitchen, and some is still in the hands of the Executors. It has been agreed that Thomas and George Chaplin will hold a number of deeds which are relevant to Philip Kitchen and in this Indenture they covenant to produce them, at any time at his request. The main part of the document consists of a schedule listing the deeds of the property at Wrangle, totalling about 20 items from 1707 to 1796. Various members of the Chaplin family appear throughout, beginning in 1707 with John Chaplin, and his son Porter Chaplin. | |||||||||||
