William Trotter, late of Sheerness, Kent, now of Yarmouth, Norfolk, Caulker James Easterby of Sheerness, Kent, Haberdasher Subject This indenture relates to a parcel of pasture or fresh marsh land in the parish of Minster, Isle of Sheppey in an area called the Home Marsh. It is on the North side of Rose Street and is 30ft x 90ft. We are told that William Trotter acquired a 99 year lease on this plot in 1815. He then mortgaged it, with a messuage lately erected on it, to James Easterby for £30 in 1818. The £30 is still owing to James Easterby, who is now buying the residue of the lease for £60. | |||||||||||
