Charles Aldin of Clapham, Surrey, Builder William Hallows Belli of No.1 Queens Gate Terrace, Kensington, Middlesex, Esquire Subject The Indenture relates to a plot of land with one house on the South side of The Gore Road, parish of St Mary Abbotts, Kensington, Middlesex. We are told that a 99-year lease was granted to Charles Aldin in March 1857 at a rent of £25 per annum. Charles Aldin immediately mortgaged it for £1000 and then later borrowed a further £1500 from the same lenders. In November 1857 he mortgaged it a second time to William Belli for £500. William Belli is now buying the residue of the lease from Charles Aldin for a total of £4800. Of this sum he retains £500 to pay off the second mortgage, and a further £2500 is deducted since William Belli is taking over the first mortgage. The remaining £1800 is paid to Charles Aldin. | |||||||||||||
