SUBJECT The Indenture concerns a cottage with 5 acres of land at Bishops Wood which is part of The Coppice Farm. We are told that in 1808 William and Ann Davis mortgaged this property to John Harris for £40. William Davis is now selling it to James Trigg for £80, but of this sum £41 (to include interest) will go direct to John Harris to clear the mortgage.
