Gertrude Mary Abbott (formerly Gertrude Mary Baily) the wife of Walter Abbott of Worthing, Sussex, Esquire Frank Kinsley Munro Thomas of Worthing, Sussex, Esquire Claude William Chadburn of Mansfield, Derbyshire, Brewer William Edward Baily (deceased) of Lydwood House, Paul Chinchtown, Cornwall, Gentleman Subject The document begins by reciting the will of William Baily who died in 1903 leaving his property to two Trustees in trust for his wife Gertrude Baily during her widowhood and then to his daughter Gertrude Sarah Baily. Since then his wife has remarried to Walter Abbott, but we are told that in 1905 Gertrude Sarah (the daughter) assigned half of the income of the estate to her mother following that marriage. This income comes in particular from the Mansfield Brewery Company. The object of this Indenture is to appoint Frank Thomas and Claude Chadburn as new trustees of the will. A note has been added to say that this deed was never executed but was replaced by a new one on 28/5/1925. This one is signed only by Gertrude Abbott. | |||||||||||||
