PARTIES George CLOSE of Blackrod, Lancashire. Engine Man. Lambert PARTINGTON of Blackrod, Lancashire. Bill Poster. SUBJECT The Indenture concerns a plot of land at Pool Green in Blackrod, Lancashire, containing 280 square yards on the South West side of the highway from Chorley to Manchester. We are told that a 999 year lease was granted on this plot in 1877 at a rent of £2/6/8d per annum. Then in 1891 the residue of the lease came into the hands of George Close. By this time a shop and dwellinghouse had been built on the plot. George Close is now selling the residue of the lease to Lambert Partington for £157.
