SUBJECT The Indenture concerns a parcel of land with a tenement erected on it on the South side of Shad Thames in the Parish of St John, Southwark. We are told that James Powle acquired a 61 year lease on this property in 1802 at a rent of £10 per annum. James Powle died around 1824 and Letters of Administration for his property were granted to John Powle. John Powle is now giving an underlease to John Connorton for 21 years at a rent of £23/12/-d.
