John CLEARS late of East Harting, Norfolk. Miller. Now of Blo Norton, Norfolk. Farmer. Jonah SCARFE of Blo Norton, Norfolk. Farmer. William BROOKE of Kenninghall, Norfolk. Gentleman. SUBJECT John Clears is selling property in Blo Norton to Jonah Scarfe for £505. It consists of a cottage now used as two dwellinghouses with 2 acres of adjoining land bounded on the South by the Kings Highway from Blo Norton Church to Lopham. In addition, there are five other pieces of land, none larger than 2 acres, of which several result from a Blo Norton Inclose Act of 1822. William Brooke only appears as some sort of Trustee and plays little real part. The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1823. At this time John Clears was already in possession of the property, but seems to be going through one of the obscure legal processes of the time to improve his title to it. | ||||||||||||||
