SUBJECT This is the first part of a contract of sale by Lease and Release in which Thomas Shoosmith is selling property in Lydd to William Waterman the Elder. It consists of a parcel of 15 acres of marshland which had been acquired by John Shoosmith (father of Thomas Shoosmith) in 1768. We are told that William Waterman the Younger and Vanderlure Mills are acting only as Trustees and presumably play little real part in the transaction. | ||||||||||
