(Solicitor) SUBJECT The document begins by reciting that Joseph Barkby acquired two plots of land at Low Wincobank, Parish of Ecclesfield, in 1877 and 1898. The two plots lay on either side of Stanley Street and to the South of Station Road. Joseph Barkby died in 1905 having appointed his wife Ellen Barkby and his three sons Joseph, Ernest and Benjamin, as his Executors. These four are now mortgaging the property to Benjamin Wood and George Branson for £200.
