Samuel Marden THOMAS of 40 Gracechurch Street, London. Commercial Traveller. Marguerite Jeanne Andrienne THOMAS wife of Samuel Thomas Jacques RUTTY of Place due Lac, Geneva, Switzerland. Avocat. SUBJECT The document recites that Samuel and Marguerite Thomas were married both in England and in Switzerland in September 1879. In the Swiss contract of marriage they chose the "Regime dotal" in which the wife keeps all her real and personal property for her own use. In order to obtain a similar result in English law, Marguerite Thomas is placing all her estate into the hands of Jacques Rutty, as a Trustee. Samuel Thomas is also a party to the contract to signify that it is with his agreement. (There is no mention in the document of what her property might consists of). The separate paper document is of the same date issue by the Supreme Court of Judicature and certifies that Marguerite Thomas was of full age, knew what she was doing, and signed voluntarily. | ||||||||||||
