Benjamin POWELL of Aylsham, Norfolk. Gentleman. and Ann Stewart POWELL his wife Martha Louisa COCK of Aylsham, Norfolk. Spinster. SUBJECT Benjamin Powell is selling property in Aylsham to Martha Cock for £350. It consists of a house and garden in the North side of the road from Aylsham to Banningham. We are told that the property had originally been part of the Manor of Aylsham but had been enfranchised (ie converted into freehold property) in October 1871. Ann, the wife of Benjamin Powell, is a party to the Indenture because she is forfeiting her right to dower from the property which she would hold as a result of the custom of the manor. | |||||||||||
