Robert BECKLEY of Crayford, Kent. Hair Dresser. Edward William HEWETT of Bexley, Kent. Bricklayer. Henry Alfred BARRETT of Chidgrove Rectory. Near Norwich, Norfolk. SUBJECT Henry Barrett is lending £300 to Robert Beckley and Edward Hewett on a mortgage on property in Dartford. It consists of a plot of land 150ft x 150ft, formerly part of Fulwich Farm, in St Martins Road together with 4 buildings now in the course of erection. The second Indenture of 1884 written on the back tells us that the mortgage has been increased to £1200 at some time. There are now a total of 12 houses on the plot, but 4 of them (Nos. 9, 10, 11 and 12 St Martins Terrace) were sold off in 1880. A new conveyance to the morgagee brings things up to date. A series of receipts written on the back detail the successive advances making up the total of £1200. | ||||||||||||||
