| Testator
John Graves of Norwich, Norfolk. Carpenter. Beneficiaries Mary Graves, his wife Mary Graves, his daughter John Graves, his son Susannah Graves, his daughter Jeremiah Graves, his son Subject John Graves appears to own a lot of property in Norwich in the Parishes of St Paul, St Gregory and St Augustine. Some of this property came from his father in law, Jeremiah Clapham. One small part goes directly to his daughter, Mary. The rest goes to his wife for her lifetime and then to be divided between the children. There is no real clue as to the age of this document. The main body of it is written in fairly modern handwriting, suggesting later 19th century, but the title on the cover is in a much older style from which I would guess early 19th century. | ||||||||||||||
