Frederick George Tyrell of Hastings, Sussex. Jeweller. Joseph Brown of Hastings, Sussex. Gentleman. John Howell (the younger) of Hastings, Sussex. Gentleman. William Francis Revill of Hastings, Sussex. Tea Dealer. Note that Joseph Brown, John Howell and William Revill are acting as Trustees for the Rape of Hastings Mutual Permanent Benefit Building Society. SUBJECT Frederick Tyrell is borrowing £275 on a mortgage from the Rape of Hastings Building Society. The property mortgaged consists of 2 recently erected houses, numbers 55 and 56 Rye Road, Ore, near Hastings, and 2 other houses recently erected by the mortgagor on the same plot of land and known as numbers 9 and 10 North Terrace. Use of the adjacent well is included. The document has no sign of a revenue stamp ever having been attached. However, there is little doubt that the contract was completed in view of a note added on the back to say that the mortgage was paid off in 1897. | |||||||||||
