(Innkeeper and Butcher) William Ward of Kingswinford, Staffordshire SUBJECT The indenture relates to a plot of 700 square yards in Kingswinford, Staffs, containing 4 dwellinghouses recently built by William Wall. It fronts onto a newly laid out street called Water Street. We are told that William Wall mortgaged this property to Catherine Stringer for £320 in 1851 but has since defaulted on the mortgage. Accordingly, Catherine Stringer has sold it by Public Auction to Thomas Davies for £144.
