William Brear of Ovenden, Halifax, Yorkshire. Brewer. Thomas Boyd Chambers of Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire. Gentleman. John Henry Murgatroyd of Halifax, Yorkshire. Silk Spinner. Frederick Robson of Coundon, Yorkshire. Builder. John Gargett of Coundon, Yorkshire. Builder. SUBJECT The document appears to be a manorial court document (but I haven't seen one quite like it before), and concerns property at Nos 7, 9 and 10 Victoria Lane, Coundon. Frederick Robson and John Gargett have mortgaged the property for £450 to the Halifax Building Society, of which William Brear, Thomas Chambers and John Murgatroyd are Trustees. As a result, Robson and Gargett are surrendering the property to the manor and the Trustees are being admitted, A note added in 1920 on the cover indicates that the mortgage has been paid off, but this time it refer to the Manor of Bondgate in Auckland. | |||||||||||
