Mary YOUNG (wife of William YOUNG formerly of Worsley, Lancashire, now of Southport. Cotton Spinner). James FORAN of Southport Lancs, Gentleman (deceased) SUBJECT The Indenture concerns premises with the dwelling house thereon known as Landholme, 39 Leyland Road, Southport, in the County of Lancaster. A 99 year lease on this property was given in 1871 and the residue of this lease assigned to James Foran in 1881, who mortgaged it for £900 the same year. James Foran died in 1888 appointing his wife Elizabeth Foran, son Alfred Tempeste Foran and daughter Zilla Monica Hamson as Trustees and Executors. Alfred Foran and Zilla Hamson are now selling the residue of the lease to Mary Young for £1250. (Note that this is a long Indenture with 14 'whereas' clauses, and I have left out a few of the twists and turns.)
