PARTIES
Thomas BREWIS of St Helens, Lancashire. Gentleman.
Edward Arkless ROBINSON of Blyth, Northumberland. Ship Builder.
Mary Arkless NELSON of Blyth, Northumberland. Wife of Joseph NELSON of Blyth Northumberland. Druggist.

SUBJECT
Thomas Brewis is borrowing £716 from the other two parties on the security of property in Widnes. The property contains 420 sq. yds., is bounded on the East by Wellington Street and on the North by Hutchinson Street. It is held by Thomas Brewis for the residue of a lease of 999 years which began in 1864.

The note of 1904 is very curious. It appears to say that no principal or interest have ever been paid, or asked for, since the mortgage began. The title deeds have then been delivered to Thomas Brewis by the mortgagees without any claim being made by them!
