SUBJECT
William Johnson Pocklington is buying a plot of land of 17 perches on the South West side of the Common highway called Hidicks Road, and to the South East of Wash Dyke Lane. It appears that William Pocklington already occupies the property - presumably as a tenant.

John Grunnell is the seller of the property but had mortgaged it in 1837 to Isaac Whitsed. It appears that William Pocklington is taking over the mortgage so that the purchase price paid to John Grunnell is only £10.

It looks as though Joshua Beverley has acted as a trustee in some earlier transaction and appears as a party for that reason only.

The document includes a schedule of 13 other indentures which relate to this property during the period 1814 - 1837.
