William ALLEN of Barford, Norfolk. Gentleman. AND Deborah, his wife (formerly Deborah BALDY) Mary BALDY of Mattishall, Norfolk. Spinster Elizabeth BALDY of Mattishall, Norfolk. Spinster Martha BALDY of Mattishall, Norfolk. Spinster Priscilla BALDY of Mattishall, Norfolk. Spinster Robert PURLAND the younger of Norwich, Norfolk. Druggist John ALDERSON of Norwich, Norfolk, Doctor of Physic SUBJECT The indenture concerns the sale of property in Norwich by the various members of the Baldy family to Robert Purland for £257. (John Alderson acts only as a trustee and plays little real part). The document begins with a brief history of the property since 1756 in which it was acquired by John Thompson and was then passed to his daughter Joanna, the wife of John Baldy. From then it passed to their seven surviving children, the five daughters named above, and also Ruth Parke and John Baldy. John Baldy has since died, leaving his share to the five named above. Accordingly, they jointly own 6/7ths of the property, which share they are now selling. The property consists of one capital messuage and one other dwelling house in the Parishes of St Peter Hungate and Saints Simon and Jude. | |||||||||||
