Ann BELL of Norwich, Norfolk. Widow. Samuel GIDNEY of Norwich, Norfolk. Estate Agent. George Arthur DYE of Norwich, Norfolk. Gentleman. James HARMER of Norwich, Norfolk. Fruiterer. SUBJECT This is an attested copy of an Indenture of which the original was dated 11 August 1858. The copy is dated 5 June 1877. It is a settlement made in anticipation of the marriage of Ann Bell to Samuel Gidney. Ann Bell is placing her property in the hands of George Dye as a Trustee. (This is a standard device of the time to keep it outside the control of the future husband). The property consists of : 1. 5 cottages in Julian Place, hamlet of Heigham, Norfolk. 2. Dwellinghouse, shop and 3 cottages in the parish of St Stephen, Norwich. 3. 2 dwellinghouses and shops in Palace Street, Parish of St George of Tombland, Norwich. After the death of Ann Bell the property is for the benefit of her only child James Harmer. | |||||||||||||||
