Edward BRADNEE of North Street, Red Lion Square, Middlesex and ANN BRADNEE his wife. Mary RIGBY (the wife of Joshua RIGBY, late of Camden Street in the Parish of St Mary, Islington, Middlesex. Watchmaker). SUBJECT This is a Court document of the Manor of the Prebend of Buckingham with Gawcott. It records the surrender of property in Gawcott by Edward Bradnee, Ann Bradnee, Mary Rigby and Catherine Sheen. John Bartlett is then admitted to the property. The property consists of 5 parcels of land totalling about 22 acres scattered around Gawcott. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The Manor of the Prebend of Buckingham with Gawcott in the Count of Bucks The General Court Baron of Mrs Elizabeth Coke Lady of the said Manor held in the said Manor on Wednesday the 8/12/1802 before Robert Miller Gentleman Steward there (amongst other things 'tis enrolled as follows) Also at this Court ......... presented by the Homage that Edward Bradnee of North Street, Red Lion Square in the County of Middlesex and Ann his wife, Mary Rigby (the wife of Joshua Rigby late of Camden Street in the Parish of St Mary, Islington, in the said county of Middlesex, Watchmaker), and Catherine Sheen of Camden Street, aforesaid Spinster. DID out of court and since the last Court Day that is to say 4/12/1802 SURRENDER by the rod into the hands of the Lady of the said Manor by the ........ and acceptance(?) of Thomas Zacchariah Sheen, Gentleman Deputy Steward for the special ....... and purpose only by virtue of a deputation made under the hand and seal of Robert Miller, Gentleman Chief Steward of the said Manor bearing date 1/12/1802 according to the custom fo he said Manor (they the said Ann and Mary being first separately examined apart from their respective husband by the said Deputy Steward and freely consenting).
