William Welch of Warkworth, Northumberland, Publican Henry Taylor Purvis of Alnwick, Northumberland, Merchant Robert Wardle of Warkworth, Northumberland, Butcher SUBJECT William Welch is selling property in Warkworth to Robert Wardle for £76. The money is actually paid to Henry Purvis who holds a mortgage on the property. It appears that this sum completely pays off the mortgage. The property consists of a plot of land of 918 sq.yds. in Warkworth called "The Butts" previously appurtenant to "The White Swan" bounded on the North side by a road from Warksworth Bridge to Amble. A schedule lists other indentures which relate to this property from 1804 onwards. It appears that it came into the hands of William Welch in 1861. | ||||||||||||
